Emergency Medical Responders (EMR) provide prompt care to critical patients in need of emergency medical services. In this course, aspiring EMRs will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver immediate lifesaving interventions while awaiting the arrival of further resources from the EMS. Emergency Medical Responders play a vital role in the comprehensive EMS response. Not only do they assist higher-level personnel at the scene of emergencies and during transport, but they also perform emergency interventions, under medical oversight, with minimal equipment onsite.
