EMT-B

Tasked in bridging the gap between the scene of an emergency to the health care system, Emergency Medical Technicians have the basic knowledge and the necessary skills to stabilize and safely transport patients ranging from non-emergency and routine medical transports to life threatening emergencies. EMTs function as a part of the comprehensive EMS response system and under medical supervision, they perform basic medical interventions with equipment usually found in an ambulance. In this course, future Certified EMTs will learn how to provide out-of-hospital medical care and transportation for critical and emergency patients who access the Emergency Medical System.
