Regular training in pediatric basic life support is essential as cardiorespiratory arrest occurs less frequently among children than adults. Because of this, healthcare professionals and members of the public are less likely to be involved in pediatric resuscitation. The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts. Additionally, this course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing and training healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest.
