Jurisprudence

Jurisprudence (also known as legal theory) is the theoretical study of law. Scholars of jurisprudence aim to explain the nature of law in its most basic form and to provide a deeper understanding of legal reasoning, legal systems, legal institutions, and the role of law in society. In this course, Emergency Medical Service personnels learn about certain laws and systems to aid in executing their responsibilities in the medical field properly. Laws such as the Health and Safety Code, Department of State Health Service Rules, and other applicable laws impact EMS activities in the state.
